The Weidt Group is currently seeking a Full Stack .NET Developer for its Minnetonka, MN office. Working under the direction of a Senior Developer or Software Manager, this individual will develop software solutions for one or more of the Energy business units. They will continue to learn and develop proficiencies in new and emerging technologies as required to keep pace with an ever changing landscape of devices, form factors, patterns and technologies.

The effectiveness of this person will be defined by their ability to perform and manage their efforts on multiple projects in a proficient manner. They will also be measured by their ability to contribute to providing on-time and on-budget software solutions and support.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop and support a diverse portfolio of software services and tools
Possess and maintain proficiency with patterns and techniques such as OOD, MVC, WinForms, WebForms, rich web client stacks and web service protocols, including new and emerging patterns and techniques as required
Possess and maintain proficiency with specific tools, languages, technologies and standards such as .NET, C#, ASP.NET, Angular, WPF, WCF, WebAPI, REST, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery, including new and emerging tooling, languages, technologies and standards as required
Assist with design and architecture of the solution
Assist with support and maintenance of the solution
Follow and help define our software development practices and standards
Write unit tests and assist our QA department to ensure quality software
Configure, deploy and maintain software solutions in a variety of host environments
Participate in a structured, variable-sized team, development environment
Demonstrated self-starter with technical flexibility and sense of ownership
Demonstrated creativity and quality focus

Professional degree in Computer Science. Two years of relevant experience and an Associate’s/technical degree will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
5 or more years in Software Development preferred
Proficiency and experience with the common development environment
- Microsoft Visual Studio
- Microsoft Team Foundation Server
- Microsoft SQL Server
Basic depth of knowledge of the technologies used for services/backend development (minimum in bold)
- .NET Development (C#)
- OOD
- Web and Windows services
- DB schema design
- Multithreading
- IIS configuration
- SQL management
- Simulation Engines (DOE2, EnergyPlus)
- Service bus and/or MSMQ
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Ability to identify and resolve ambiguity in the requirements or solutions
Ability to work in a team environment, coordinating efforts with other team members on the same project
Ability to work on complex, technical concepts/logic independently and/or with assistance from engineers
Ability to design and develop simple to complex architectures and project solutions with little input from others
Knowledge of building energy modeling and/or mechanical engineering preferred
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to mentor others
