Full Stack Engineer

Based in San Francisco, Woopra provides real-time customer intelligence to thousands of organizations such as Volkswagen, Informatica, and Red Hat. We are a small team looking for smart, ambitious people who want to be an integral part of a fast-growing company.

We are seeking a sharp engineer who is passionate, focused and detail-oriented. You will be taking full ownership of the core business database and account management APIs over the course of 6 months. After which, you will transition to focusing on our customer-facing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Woopra’s billing system and account management platform
• Build a new system to replace our legacy billing system with modern tools, taking advantage of 3rd-party subscription management services (e.g. Stripe)
• Maintain our MySQL account management integrity
• Develop an API for new features and work with the front-end team to optimize the customer experience during onboarding and account management
• Build end-to-end test tools for account management – from account creation and subscriptions to payment management
• Implement Woopra tracking tools across all new account management systems
• Upgrade our internal admin portal for greater control and reporting
• This position reports directly to the CEO

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Java development
• 5+ years in JavaScript development
• 5+ years in MySQL and similar relational databases
• Value absolute data integrity
• Experience in writing clean code and following best practices
• Experience in Github
• Experience in RESTful API design
• Experience using and deploying on AWS
• Experience in building operations for development and production environments
• Hands-on experience with Linux command line
• Enjoy complex challenges and data puzzles
• Be extremely detail oriented
• Embody great planning and communication skills
• Experience in modern data stores (AWS Redshift, DynamoDB, Cassandra) is a plus
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or equivalent degree
