Data Analyst – Pharma Partnerships

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented analyst to join the Production Bioinformatics group. In this role you will be responsible for supporting data analysis and reports to external partners, assisting with validation studies and answering business questions with data. You will independently and proactively identify reporting issues and recommend solutions given critical timelines. This work is interdisciplinary and involves collaboration with external partners, the Invitae commercial team, production lab scientists, R&D scientists, the clinical quality assurance team, laboratory directors, and the bioinformatics pipeline engineering team.

• Self-starter with appetite for solving problems in complex systems.
• Meticulous, with a drive to automate workflows and identify edge cases
• Extremely organized and detail-oriented
• Working knowledge of Python and its applications to data science
• Works with a sense of urgency and ability to execute in dynamic setting with tight external deadlines
• Excellent data science communication skills
• Working knowledge of querying databases: SQL, datalog, etc. Database management experience a plus.
• BA/BS or Master’s degree in bioinformatics or a related quantitative field
• 2+ years demonstrated professional experience in statistics, data mining and manipulation preferred
