Full Stack Developer

Our Full-Stack Software Engineer will collaborate with Product Management and other Engineers to design, develop, and maintain network device integration, management and reporting software. Primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining object-oriented, multi-tiered systems using Java/J2EE and other development platforms.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Develop support for emerging next generation technologies in the networking security space.
  • Participate with business and engineering team members in the development of new software projects.
  • Develop application specifications and designs, which are scalable, extensible, maintainable and testable.
  • Work in a top to bottom environment developing in the UI, application server and database

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
  • 5 or more years of object oriented software development experience using multiple languages, including 3 plus years of Java/J2EE technology experience including Spring framework.
  • Extremely strong core Java coding skills, including an understanding of optimization, performance ramifications of coding decisions and object-oriented design
  • Experience with and working knowledge of: Hibernate/JPA, SQL, JUnit, DBUnit, Maven, JAXB, XML/XSLT, RESTful web services and log4j preferred
  • Outstanding problem solving skills. Someone that is able to pick apart software, analyze it and become a subject matter expert on it.
  • Full understanding and working knowledge of PostGresql and Angular
  • Experience successfully working in an agile development environment
  • Exercising sound business judgment while displaying professional and appropriate behavior
  • Maintaining reliable and predictable attendance

Bonus Points:

  • Expertise in the area of networking (Cisco, Juniper, Check Point, Palo Alto, etc.)
  • Familiarity with the 7 layer OSI model and TCP/IP networking
  • Familiarity with areas of Threat/Incident response
  • jQuery
  • Linux experience
