Full Charge Bookkeeper

A Bookkeeper maintains records of financial transactions, reconciles and balances accounts and assists with financial inquires over the phone.

Job Description:

• Perform daily audit of venue operations to include but not limited to cash deposits, replenishment of bar banks, review of promotional postings, assembling documents to be sent to corporate office, review and process petty cash, balancing of safe funds and review of credit card receipts.

• Gathers, assembles and files audit work in permanent files.

Issues Petty Cash per established Standard Operating Procedures.

• Prepares Day Work Sheets from Day Work Package.

• Scans and submits via e-mail Day Work Sheets to NYC Corporate Office.

• Enters, reviews and balances invoices into Accounting system.

• Sends entered invoices to NYC for processing.

Delivers Room Charges to Hotel Accounting.

• Prepares Monthly Reports to include but not limited to Club House, Petty Cash and Deposit Received/Redeemed.

• Answers phones per established etiquette.

• Responds and resolves guest complaints.

• Responds to credit card charge backs and/or inquiries in a timely manner.

• Documents and communicates any and all internal control issues to the Controller and/or Managing Partner.

• Maintains adequate supplies of items necessary to perform your tasks/function.

• Maintains adequate supplies of items assigned to be ordered/maintained by the Accounting Department.

• Treats, maintains and operates equipment/tools per established guidelines.

Experience/Skills:

• 1-2 years experience.

• Must be able to multitask.

• Must have worked in a fast paced environment
