Frontend Application Engineer

Design and build data-rich experiences and interactive components for other developers just like you. You’ll be working on building frontend components and data visualizations in our GraphQL insights tool, Apollo Engine. You’ll be using the most modern tools in web development and following the best practices of component-based frontend architecture. You’ll be working with a team that has a history of pioneering JavaScript tech and is pushing the boundaries of modern application development to improve how people develop software.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, build, and test React components and data visualizations in Apollo Engine.
  • Collaborate on GraphQL API design with backend developers.
  • Help design new Engine features and figure out the best technical shape for them.
  • Own the lifecycle of your product code, including devops, bug fixes, and tech debt reductions.
  • Contribute to Apollo open source projects as you try out their latest features in your every-day work.

  • You have great product taste and care about building high-quality user experiences that are easy to use and feel great.
  • You care deeply about product interaction and enjoy thinking about and implementing details.
  • You like to work quickly and make fast, intuitive product decisions.
  • You enjoy talking to customers and collecting feedback from users. You look forward to being on the support rotation to get closer to users.
