Front End Web Developer (Temporary)

Position works with Associate Director of Marketing to implement and execute the Academic Services and Enrollment Management digital marketing strategies to achieve enrollment and department goals. This position will be responsible for the front-end web development of Academic Services and Enrollment Management digital marketing initiatives. This position will also work closely with the Web Design Coordinator to implement site design and translate it to standards-compliant, cross-browser markup and styles. This position may also be responsible for ensuring the Academic Services and Enrollment Management websites meet current accessibility requirements.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus one year of relevant front-end development experience required. Demonstrated ability to implement best practice UI/UX in digital projects necessary. Must have proficiency in HTML and CSS and experience with Javascript and jQuery. Experience with coding for content management systems necessary. Strong portfolio of previous front-end development experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience developing websites that follow accessibility guidelines preferred. Demonstrated experience of implementing new digital design trends desirable. Prefer experience working with Git distributed revision control system. Experience communicating with high school and/or undergraduate students preferred. Experience developing applications for social media helpful.
