Job Summary

You are an advocate for the end user and are passionate about delivering the best possible user experience. By applying your code kung fu skills and passion for cutting edge web technology you will architect site code, standards, guidelines, processes, and tools that enable Oracle to; solve customer problems, support corporate goals, speed time to market, decrease production cost, and contribute to a consistent, cohesive, and compelling brand experience for all Oracle.com users.

You will help deliver front-end code design, development, and deployment on Oracle’s public web sites. The role requires strong experience in modern development principles and practices, prototyping, and web technologies. You will work closely with the Oracle.com Web Technology and Publishing teams, IT, and vendors in all phases of the web development lifecycle.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with masterful web development skills, a passion for web development and learning, and solving complex problems.

Key Responsibilities

Motivate yourself and others to research, explore and utilize the latest in web technology

Work independently and with others to brainstorm solutions and implementations

Work closely with development and publishing teams on execution of coding frameworks

Create well crafted web experiences utilizing modern methods and web technologies

Conceptualize and code online experiences based on business and user requirements, best practices, standards, and guidelines

Deliver a complete code bases for existing and new sites and all supporting elements

Implement code in a manner that is documented, robust, efficient, and repeatable

Create and deliver mockups, POCs, production-ready code and sWork within Oracle’s scalable, flexible, and component based site framework

Be responsible for ongoing maintenance, bug fixing, and improvement of your code

Execute, understand, and implement Oracle’s brand and visual identity

Manage day-to-day development activities and relationships with contractors and vendors

Provided coded templates, pages, and components using your tool bag of web technologies

Skills

Minimum of 1-3 years experience working in a development capacity at a web agency, software company, other web-based business or equivalent experience

Extensive knowledge and experience with the Internet and the World Wide Web

Solid understanding of large-scale websites and web development lifecycles

Intermediate skills and experience using JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, HTML, XML, JSON, and JQuery

Experience with any of the following technologies would be an asset: HTML5, Brightcove Video/VideoJS, JQuery, and Handlebar.js

Possess an understanding of user experience constructs

Basic to intermediate design skills, with strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills

Enthusiastic and self-motivated

Extremely organized, detail-oriented, able to work to deadlines and multi-task

Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Skill in documentation, creating and instilling new processes and procedures

Creative problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Responsible for the overall appearance and function of websites. Provides for the delivery of content and message in a web environment

Provides technical support and administration of the software infrastructure for the implementation and maintenance of company’s digital efforts. Designs and maintains web pages/digital interfaces/applications. Develops user interface features, site animation and special effects. Coordinates wtith web content developers to ensure the delivery of the content and emssage is accurate. Define user requirements, create detailed specifications and develop usability plans . Create user task flow diagrams and functional design specifications. Create prototype interfaces for testing, analysis, and review to ensure technical business needs are met with user interface design

Job duties are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. 2+ years related experience. E-business + Internet practical know-how. Intermediate working knowledge of HTML, Javascript, and CSS required. Corporate web design experience also required.
