As a Software Application Developer II, you will work on a team to build web and mobile applications, service APIs, and back-office productivity tools in an agile environment. You’ll be able to leverage libraries and frameworks like Angular, React, jQuery, Ember, and Backbone, and have the opportunity to learn new technologies that we adopt to enhance our development efforts.

Skillset

Ability to distill complexity into simplicity

Solid programming skills in multiple languages / frameworks (predominantly HTML 5, Angular, JavaScript, CSS)

Basic understanding of software architecture and design principles (MVVM pattern, layered, loosely coupled, extensible, etc.)

Responsibilities

Decompose user stories and business requirements into technical tasks

Write efficient, performance-driven code that enables desired user experience

Experience

Required

3+ years of software development experience, including UI development and programs involving two or more of the following: asynchronous methods, transactions, event handlers, database binding

3+ years of experience with libraries/frameworks including jQuery, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS and Angular

2+ years experience working in an agile team environment

Plus

Experience with feature testing frameworks

Experience with unit testing frameworks

Intermediate-to-expert knowledge of Commercial Property sector

Experience in writing solutions deployed to cloud

Experience consuming cloud based services and APIs.

Exposure and/or experience with newer non-relational / NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch

Experience with geo-spatial data

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
