Front End Developer

As Front-end Developer at Desert Schools Credit Union you will be responsible for developing and enhancing websites and user interfaces for web-based applications. The Front –end Developer is able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and transform them into intuitive, functional and responsive designs using front-end development methodologies. In addition, the Front-end Developer will act as a subject matter expert for the team in HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery design and development. Desert Schools prides itself on providing stellar service and innovative products to its customers, and taking an active role in community outreach and education efforts in the valley and beyond.


What you’ll do here:

Provide front-end architecture and aesthetic thought leadership.

Develop and design innovative user experiences utilizing programming languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, JQuery, meeting deadlines and according to specifications.

Develop and present wireframes, mockups, and InVision prototypes; convert to HTML5 and CSS.

Maintain existing code and make improvements to increase maintainability, performance, and responsiveness.

Deliver high-quality websites and other digital projects with exceptional UX/UI that meet current coding standards and cross-browser compatibilities.

Understand differences between multiple delivery platforms (such as mobile vs. desktop), and optimize output to match the specific platform.

Maintain and extending a style guide for scalability and cross application usage.

Work on multiple projects at a time and communicate progression.

Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What you’ll need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Applied Science BAS in Internet and Web Development, Human-Computer Interaction, computer science, Engineering.

5 + years related experience in Javascript/JQuery, CSS/HTML5, Agile Development (SCRUM), Sitecore, and Eloqua.

Demonstrate a solid understanding of user-centered design principles and modern UI/UX patterns.

Self-motivated; able to organize and manage multiple tasks and projects with minimal supervision.

Knowledge and experience with mobile and web design standards and technologies (iOS, Android, Windows 8, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, Sitecore, Java, etc.).

Proficient using visual design and wire-framing tools.

Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.

Juggle many complex projects, all with strict deadlines, simultaneously.
