Financial Operations Analyst

Summary

Finance business partner supporting the CPG program managers. Responsible for Invoicing (transaction management & compilation), Client/Program Financial Analysis (revenue, labor, expenses), Program Budget/Forecasting support, and Program KPI support. Provide invoicing support for program teams and work as a partner and liaison for a portion of the business. Prepares financial analysis in support of business objectives and program management activities.

Job Description

  • Prepares and delivers more complex, project based client invoices, using inputs from multiple data sources and aligns with contractual terms and accounting guidance
  • Programs are more complex (including T&M with multipler, Pay for performance, etc)
  • Ensures invoices comply with all contract terms and conditions
  • Works closely with program managers to analyze labor costs, as well as program budgets.
  • Assists with managing program data and conducts financial analysis, including forecasting
  • Conduct variance analysis & reconciliations to both forecasts and contractual program budgets
  • Acts as a liaison between Operations and Corporate Accounting organization to answer questions and research issues.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Drives process improvements, addresses system functionalities
  • Enter contracts into system of record; make timely and accurate changes and amendments
  • Assist in researching and answer inquiries and identifying potential solutions where appropriate.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested. Interpret results.
  • Produce process documentation and identify downstream dependencies
  • Perform timely and insightful financial analysis to determine progress against strategic plan, budget, forecast, and to ensure integrity of the invoices

Additional Job Description

  • Proficient computer skills including advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge (pivot tables, vlookups)
  • End user-level experience with major ERP systems desired
  • Working knowledge of GAAP accounting knowledge and experience creating and analyzing financial statements.
  • Applies these principles to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.
