Financial Analyst (SAP Required)

About the Position.

This contract position will last for 9 to 12 months, and may be extended beyond that timeframe. Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance. 3 to 10 years of experience in financial planning & analysis and cost accounting is ideal. Must have proven experience using SAP financial software.

Essential Functions.

• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Knowledge of capital budgeting, including net present value and internal rate of return principles and costing methodologies.
• Capital development and analysis, including budgeting & forecasting
• Prepare and distribute monthly budget vs. actual reports; also analyze variances with senior level team members.
• Prepare monthly executive financial updates/presentations.
• Assist in preparing metrics for quarterly earnings calls and external reporting.
• Support the creation of reporting, data visualization, analysis and other tools to help teams better understand their performance.
• Must possess strong analytical skills.
• Creation, validation, analysis, and communication of financial and operational data.
• Work with the appropriate personnel on processes and analysis related to annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, month-end closings, and other reporting.
• Work with appropriate personnel to develop and ensure that standard costs are accurate and meet the cost improvement objectives set by Operations.
• Conducting reviews to ensure staffing and overhead spending are appropriate.
• Prepare and/or communicate various operational metrics as required.

Base Qualifications.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Three or more years of experience in financial planning & analysis/cost accounting.
• Must possess strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office programs, especially Excel.

Compensation .

Hourly: $80 / Salary: $120,000 to $130,000.
