A dynamic Senior Financial Analyst role that will
develop a broad knowledge of all Fidelity businesses and the financial services industry. This role will interact with finance groups and business partners across the firm, utilize critical reporting, planning, analytical, and communication skills to deliver insightful reporting, analysis and executive briefings to key internal (e.g. CFO, Board) and external (e.g. Rating Agency) audiences.

Expertise
We’re Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent training
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience
  • A successful track record in financial modeling, analysis and industry / competitive landscape
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.

The
Purpose
of Your Role

  • This essential position will support the financial reporting, and analysis at the Enterprise level.
  • Responsibilities include providing weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting and analysis of Business Unit performance, including financial results, performance indicators, and competitive comparison.
  • Position will support preparation of executive briefings including Board meetings, CEO/CFO/Executive meetings, and external meetings with Rating Agencies.
  • Position includes project and team-oriented work to redesign, enhance current FP&A processes.
  • Strong performance will provide meaningful opportunities for advancement, and longer term career development.

  • Strong analytical, project management and problem solving skills. Ability to envision the “big picture” while maintaining close attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn quickly to understand key business unit drivers and business models. Role requires strong interpersonal skills to work closely and partner with business unit and corporate teams.
  • Ability to independently make decisions within a broad context, and an affinity for problem-solving.
  • Project and process management in a matrix organization. Business maturity and presence to effectively interact with senior management
  • Ability to create financial models, conduct scenario analysis, understand and assess options.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills and demonstrate confidence in explaining, defending and or challenging analytical findings. Well-developed interpersonal and team building skills.

  • Corporate Managerial Finance (FP&A) is a key group under the Office of the CFO. The group organization is accountable to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and its general functional responsibilities are related to Corporate Analytics, Performance Management, Competitive Analysis, Strategic Planning support, financial planning, and ad hoc analysis.
  • In supporting these critical parts of the business, the function has broad exposure to and influence on business decisions and processes. The information provided by the function provides senior management with information to support critical business analyses and decision making.
