Financial Analyst I – Digital Advertising

SUMMARY
At the intersection of Finance and Sales, Hulu is seeking a Financial Analyst I (level one) who will be an exceptional addition to the Ad Sales Financial Planning and Analysis team. This role works closely with several Financial Planning and Analysis and Advertising teams to analyze and recommend strategic, data-driven decisions. As an FAI, you will be a critical part of refining Hulu’s growing Advertising business by providing financial insights to further drive Advertising Sales’ top- and bottom-line, getting comprehensive exposure to the full Profit and Loss of Hulu’s advertising arm. WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Assist senior analysts to build and enhance financial models used to budget/forecast advertising revenue, during monthly/quarterly/annual forecasting cycles
• Assist senior analysts to maintain financial reporting, analyses and recommendations during new product launch and evolvement
• Partner with Ad Sales (Pricing, Selling, Planning, Inventory and Ad Operations teams) to identify and analyze opportunities and risks to revenue and cost goals
• Steward data-driven decision making in conjunction with varying stakeholders across the company (Product, Engineering, Business Development, HR, etc.) to optimize revenue and profit with the viewer experience in mind
• Manage ad hoc projects on an on-going basis and present to business partners. Project examples include partnership deal valuation, Profit and Loss for investment cases, headcount planning, etc.

WHAT TO BRING

• BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics or similar quantitative discipline
• 1+ years of financial analysis experience with thorough understanding of budget/forecasting cycles and strong analytical skills
• Experience working with large data sets and proven proficiency with Excel, experience with PowerPoint presentations
• Strong work ethic, high sense of urgency, and ability to deliver results in tight timeline
• Excellent and proactive communication style with the ability to build/foster relationships with business partners

NICE-TO-HAVES

• Basic SQL experience is a plus
• Advertising industry background is a plus
