Financial Analyst, Capital Markets

Job Description

In this position, the ideal candidate will work closely with the other members of the Capital Markets and Finance teams to support our financing activities, including:

Serve as a key member on the Tesla Capital Markets Team

Manage financial models of existing and future tax-equity and debt products

Prepare collateral materials and manage due diligence requests for potential financiers

Collaborate with internal teams to identify and create financial solutions for new product offerings and geographic market needs

Support sales team in RFPs and pricing for special situation

Ad hoc analysis

Responsibilities

The right candidate will be well organized, a team player, and able to effectively manage the demands of multiple simultaneous projects. They should able to build accurate and well-structured MS Excel-based financial models for external audiences quickly and under deadline. They should also be a good communicator who can effectively interface with senior management, customers, and investors. Finally, they should have a strong dose of practicality, stamina, common sense, and self-confidence.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier school, ideally in a quantitative or technical field or equivalent experience

One to two years of experience in investment banking, consulting, corporate finance or development with a strong track record of high performance

Expert with MS Excel, and proficient with other MS Office products including PowerPoint and Word

Able to rapidly assimilate and synthesize lots of information quickly

Able to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Familiarity with financial/accounting principles

Some familiarity with energy markets and/or project finance.

Some understanding of database architecture and design, or familiarity with a programming language (SQL, VBA, etc.)

Excellent communication and presentation (written and oral) skills required
