Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing & reporting findings on various financial & operational data. A strong basic understanding of accounting and financial principals is necessary. This position will work closely with the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis on a regular basis in preparing management reports and financial analysis as required.

Analyst duties

  • Gathers, analyzes and prepares financial analysis reports for Reimbursement/Collections and other departments as needed
  • Assists the Accounting/Finance Department in creating financial ratio reports
  • Assists the VP Controller with cash flow reports and cash projections
  • Analysis of collections and payer information for Patient Accounts
  • Assists in month end close in the Accounting and Patient Accounts department when necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

Education:

BS degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent financial background and knowledge

Skills:

Knowledge of insurance billing and third party reimbursement and working in a healthcare environment would be preferred.

Experience:

Experience with Access databases & Excel spreadsheets and a working background with financial ratio analysis as well as reading accounting financial statements

    • Frequently required to sit for long periods of time
