Financial Analyst 9-P11 (Fiscal Monitoring Analyst)

This position functions as a financial analyst with the Department of Health and Human Services, WIC Program, Financial Management and Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) Unit. This position is responsible for compiling and analyzing financial and budget information for the Division. Review and monitor financial data supporting federal and state regulations, requirements and reporting by providing a systematic review, interpretation and/or evaluation of budgets, trends and or other financial data for over $256 million in federal funding. Work is performed with agency/administration/offices, other state departments, various managers and staff within the WIC Division, various local agencies, private industry and federal government. This position will assist with the FMNP grant with various related duties. This position will coordinate all local agency contracts for the division, monitor caseload and related funding, and coordinate master contracts.

Position Description

Required Education and Experience
Education

Possession of a bachelor’s degree in any major with at least 24 semester (36 term) credits in accounting, finance, and economic courses.

Experience

Financial Analyst 9

No specific type or amount is required.

Financial Analyst 10

One year of professional experience providing a systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and/or evaluation of budgets, mortgages, loans, or other financial data, equivalent to a Financial Analyst 9.

Financial Analyst P11

Two years of professional experience providing a systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and/or evaluation of budgets, mortgages, loans, or other financial data, equivalent to a Financial Analyst, including one year equivalent to a Financial Analyst 10.

Alternate Education and Experience
College credits may be substituted on a proportional basis (one year of college education may substitute for one quarter of the required experience) for up to one half of the required experience.
