Financial Analyst

Job Summary

Responsible for certain aspects of accounting and forecasting; Internal Audit/SOX compliance, and accounts payable for Sundance Helicopters.

Essential Job Functions

• Extrapolate and interpret system data to create financial and operational forecast reports for management.
  
• Performs daily, weekly, and monthly accounting processes to properly record and classify financial transactions.
  
• Prepares month end journal entries/accruals for review.
  
• Review/Code invoices in a timely manner
  
• Assists supervisors and sr. accountants in any research of monthly journal entry related questions.
  
• Develop and implement best practices in all areas of Operations Accounting.
  
• Ensure professional behavior at all times.
  
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  
  Education and Qualifications

• Four-year college graduate with a major in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
  
• One to two years of accounting or related experience, preferably in the tourism/hospitality industry.
  
• Advanced knowledge of computer software including; MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  
• Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
  
• Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a highly regulated business.

Physical Requirements

• Sit for long periods of time
  
• Able to work in front of computer for majority of the work day
  
• Must be able to bend, stoop and able to reach over shoulders
  
• Must be able to travel overnight as required
