Financial Analyst

ACCOUNTABILITY:

The Financial Analyst performs complex financial analysis and provides recommendations to business operations, by assessing business profitability and identifying opportunities to enhance business financial operating performance. Primary responsibilities of this role are: developing the annual operating budget and periodic forecast updates, analyzing actual results highlighting issues and opportunities for delivering and/or exceeding business performance goals, and supporting investment decisions. Additionally the individual is responsible for assessing the adequacy of process controls of the operations and making recommending changes as required, as well as, performing related duties as required.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:

The Financial Analyst reports to the Controller receiving guidance on accounting standards and objectives of the company. He/she will provide advice and service in the areas of general financial reporting to assure effective control of company assets and performance of the company. He/she will work closely with other members of the organization to provide assistance in addressing operational needs of the business.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Prepare, review and highlight business performance through monthly financial reports
  • Track expenses and revenues vs. budget and reforecast and analyze fluctuations
  • Prepare daily/monthly business operations reports
  • Create and update models for forecasting and decision support
  • Lead site budget and reforecast process
  • Participate in Lean activities and develop supporting analysis to drive business performance
  • Evaluate profit and cost efficiencies in the various areas of the organization
  • Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed.
  • Ensure profitable growth by improving the effectiveness of financial reporting procedures within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in reporting, consolidation, and financial analysis. (experience in manufacturing industry required)
  • Accounting/GAAP knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & Access)
  • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to complete projects timely and accurately
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment

Salary: $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year
