Financial Analyst

Prepare strategic financial plans, including the long-range plan, budget and quarterly forecasts by collaborating with business partners and department heads.
Perform month close in partnership with Accounting, to ensure accurate financial results and reporting.
Contribute to controlling risks, financial exposure and operating costs. Proactively seek cost savings and better forecasting initiatives.
Review contract terms and investigate alternative cost/revenue structures. Track contractual commitments and ensure accuracy of reporting/invoicing.
Conduct analyses to interpret actual performance and trends. Investigate various sources of information and apply established problem solving to recommend direction and alternatives.
Define and build analyses that support strategic initiatives, value new business opportunities and encourage proactive planning.
Guide in the development and preparation of presentations summarizing actual performance, submitted plans and business opportunities.
Follow the sports media and digital media marketplaces. Understand competitive product offerings, particularly those geared toward sports fans.
Minimum of 1 year of related work experience, preferably in investment banking, consulting or corporate finance
Minimum of 3 years of general work experience
Financial modeling experience
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Solid analytical and strategic-thinking abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously
Passionate interest in sports and digital media
Four-year college degree in related subject matter
