Job Description

The Finance department has identified multiple day-to-day operational tasks that would be an excellent opportunity for an intern to obtain workplace experience. These tasks may include the following:

  • Document customer royalty and license agreements
    • Read customer royalty and license agreements
    • Using template provided, capture information relevant to revenue recognition
    • Provide summary for internal accounting review
  • Accounts Payable automation
    • Assist with the implementation of an automated accounts payable process
    • Scan and index existing payables for easy retrieval
  • Assist with accounts receivable improvements which may include:
    • Lockbox file upload
    • Automated invoice disbursement
    • Automated 30/60/90 day notifications
  • Fixed asset acquisitions
    • Scan and file current fixed asset acquisitions paperwork
    • Assist with implementing other subsidiaries into the fixed asset system
  • Implement electronic filing of month-end activity
    • Develop a process to image, organize and electronically file account reconciliations, journal entries and close checklist
  • Automate the distribution of the SOX review documents each quarter
    • Create and implement a process for updating the SOX documentation that is electronic and automated

Job Requirements
Requirements

  • Current student pursing a BS degree (Accounting or Finance preferred) from an accredited college or university.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft applications
    • Word for documentation
    • Excel for building/editing spreadsheets
  • Good written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
