Mobile Marketing Specialist (Telecommute)

The American Red Cross is looking for a mobile marketing campaign manager to accelerate our growth and success in the mobile space. The mobile marketing manager will be part of a digital team focused on growing blood donations on a national level. This person will be responsible for growing the number of donors accessible through mobile channels and increasing appointments to donate through text, app and social channels.

This position requires a mobile marketing thought leader with strong partnership building skills, experience driving user acquisition through emerging platforms, and the ability influence others to adopt mobile marketing best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and execute the mobile marketing strategy to increase mobile traffic and conversions for our blood banks nationwide. This includes developing a strategy around push and in-app messaging as well as building a text-accessible community of blood donors.

Provide mobile marketing best practice research to channel owners (email, paid search, small display) and stay current on latest technology

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, deliver and execute mobile marketing campaigns. This includes:

Working with the paid media manager to test and optimize mobile marketing advertising tactics to drive conversion

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to plan, deliver and execute successful social media marketing campaigns that grow likes/followers and drive more appointments from social platforms

Advising product managers on effective use of text messaging to better engage their specific customers.

Leverage analytics and customer feedback to inform strategic priorities that increase the efficiency and effectiveness of mobile marketing

Identify new opportunities to grow mobile engagement by developing and expanding relationships with new partners

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance or related degree

Minimum 3 years’ experience in digital/interactive marketing, managing the development of mobile/tablet marketing strategies and opt-in collection

Direct experience with both SMS/MMS text and when to use each for maximum ROI

App push or engagement marketing, with specific experience in mobile

Comprehensive understanding of mobile marketing landscape including Facebook, SEM mobile ad networks, push notification best practices, App store optimization.

Able to articulate digital concepts and solutions inter-departmentally in a clear and compelling way.

Experience and knowledge of best practices in engaging and communicating with consumers through mobile devices.

Experience working with analytics platforms and developing reports and analyzing data

Knowledge and experience of social media marketing tools and selling social media campaigns to executives

Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint

Must have a strong attention to detail

Proven experience collaborating with internal and external business partners

Strong project management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage a large number of projects and priorities

Ability to work both on your own and as part of a team

Experience in creating a vision and strategy to create donor growth

Thrives in a fast-paced organization with strong influencing skills and ability roll up your sleeves in partnership with the team

Able to meet deadlines

Ability to work in a self-directed, fast-paced, results-oriented environment

Strong interest in and passion for interactive products

Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
