Field Service Representative (FSR)

Raytheon SAS is currently seeking a senior Field Service Representative to provide technical field support at both OCONUS (Outside Continental Unites States) and CONUS locations. CONUS work and system training will be performed at our McKinney, TX location, while OCONUS assignments will vary by program demand. Some assignments may come with little advanced notice.
Key Tasks Performed Include, but not limited to:

  • Manage Sensor calibration – data collection, analysis and reporting
  • Participate in support and training of FSRs
  • Review daily field data logs
  • Troubleshooting field issues and returned LRUs
  • Flight test support
  • Coordination of hardware management and shipment – cables, LRUs, support equipment, Government Furnished Equipment
  • Working with suppliers for testing and developing of new tools
  • Lab manager for ACES HY calibration lab
  • Support subcontractor support activity – weekly meetings and engagement with engineers
  • Performing engineering investigation and updating program documentation

The successful candidate will be a self-starter and have the ability to represent Raytheon as the initial interface with external customers and ensure customer support requirements are met. Candidate may also be called upon to assume additional leadership roles and at times work with little or no direct supervision.

Employment is contingent on meeting all medical requirements for overseas assignment including comprehensive post-offer medical examination.

Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience troubleshooting/operational checkout of airborne surveillance technologies.
  • Experience supporting electro-optical and/or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience in repair and maintenance of complex electronic systems
  • Experience conducting technical analysis of product functionality, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with customer specifications and configuration
  • Experience troubleshooting technical problems and issues
  • Strong organizational skills with ability provide accurate, concise reports
  • Experience working across multiple organizational levels
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience working independently and delivering accurate documentation under deadline pressures
  • Ability to travel to Danger Pay posts (as defined by the US Department of State) and or other international locations if required
  • Minimum Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, bend, and move through a normal range of motion to perform maintenance actions including lifting, holding, and maneuvering items weighing in excess of 40 lbs on a routine basis
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • US Citizenship

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with US Military maintenance practices
  • Military avionics and electronics training
  • Experience with maintaining and using the Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) system or other airborne FLIR/MTS system is a plus
  • MQ9 Aircraft and GCS experience
  • ACES HY experience
  • Familiarity with Maintenance Management Information Systems, and integrated Logistics support software system
  • Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Electronics, Computer Science, or related technical field. NOTE: In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, candidate may also possess an Associate’s degree with 8 years’ related experience OR High school Diploma with 12 years’ of related experience.

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.
