Description Job Summary

The Field Investigator, Organized Retail Crime is responsible for investigations pertaining to individuals who commit major crimes and offenses against Walgreens Corporation that are beyond the realm and capacity of the ordinary depth of training and experience of a loss prevention specialist. This role provides availability for special, unusual or serious situations occurring against Walgreens Corporation that are not necessarily considered the usual retail crimes but are serious in nature. Job responsibilities include:

Job Responsibilities

Performs as liaison between Walgreens and other major retail organizations and their Organized Retail Crime Investigative Units, State and Federal law enforcement communities.

Maintains data on individuals or groups who have committed major crimes and offenses against Walgreens Corporation and reacts proactively to the data.

Identifies major areas of vulnerability as it relates to external theft and communicates this information to corporate staff, and assists in providing resolutions.

Participates in various retail loss prevention coalitions, which analyze and react to laws that impact the retail criminal justice environment.

Responsible for loss prevention activity in 9 states.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED and at least 5 years of law enforcement/criminal investigative experience.

Willing to travel overnight for business purposes (within state and out of state) at least 50% of time.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree.

Required Wicklander-Zulawski or Reid certification.

Bilingual skills preferred (English and Spanish).
