SUMMARY

We currently have a full-time opening for an Executive Account Manager (EAM) to support the Seattle, WA . territory .

The Executive Account Manager (EAM) is responsible for executing on a US commercial sales strategy focused on key customer partnerships, new account acquisitions, and expanding revenue through on-going practice development. This position is responsible for all sales and customer service activities in a designed geography. The EAM will work with Bariatric Surgeons, Gastroenterologists, and Plastic Surgeons and their support staff to successfully perform the Obalon procedure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for the implementation of all corporate sales strategies in the assigned territory.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen to identify and target prospective accounts for long-term, consistent utilization of core technology.
  • Responsible for leveraging sales, marketing, and practice development assets to secure new account adoption, conversion, and growth.
  • Develop a understanding of market opportunities and identify sales barriers within the assigned territory.
  • Provide and execute a solution-based, proactive, and comprehensive territory business plan in their assigned territory.
  • Work closely with Director of Sales to adjust territory level plans in anticipation of market dynamic shifts or trends to maximize sales opportunities and minimize territory obstacles.
  • Execute on key organizational strategies and tactics to expand brand adoption within newly acquired accounts; and accelerate, sustain, and protect that growth through account support and practice development.
  • Partner with field based Product Specialist to create Obalon procedure awareness, efficiency, and profitability in established (and newly acquired) accounts.
  • Coordinate with Obalon’s marketing department to deploy assets for both patient and physician facing campaigns at the territory/account level.
  • Work with account office staff and marketing representatives to ensure marketing efforts are followed up on and executed effectively.
  • Host, attend, and/or support accounts’ patient educational seminars and events to help drive patient demand and core technology utilization.
  • Follow all Regulatory and Quality System requirements.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals for the assigned territory.
  • Accountable to communicate consistently with Director of Sales (US East/West) to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Work closely with the VP of Strategic Partnerships to build advocacy with key physicians, thought leaders, and territory champions.
  • This position will assume and perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of industry or healthcare experience is required.
  • Medical device experience is required; experience working with gastroenterologists, bariatric surgeons, plastic surgeons, medical aesthetics is a plus (e.g. injectables , surgical implants, etc.).
  • A proven track record of B2B success and ability to influence and impact key stakeholders in a dynamic competitive selling environment is highly preferred.
  • A valid U.S. driver’s license and proof of current car insurance is required.
  • Industry protocol: Must follow hospital, laboratory, and industry protocols for credentialing, HIPAA compliance, and fair business practices. This means registering with the assigned credentialing service and following any hospital protocols for accessing physicians, or discussing patient cases.
  • The ability to travel 50%, which may include overnight / weekend travel is required.
  • Must have a sufficient personal line of credit to accommodate required travel and expenses such as hotel, flights, car rental and meals.
