ETL Production Support Specialist

TM Floyd & Company is seeking an ETL Production Support Specialist in our development center in Columbia, SC. This position will provide systems analysis support for our ETL developers, including:

• Running/monitoring ETL jobs in a complex health claims system that aggregates claims data from multiple sources across the US into multiple data stores that comprise a national data warehouse
• Providing ETL computer systems analysis for the ETL jobs, including analyzing failed jobs and analyzing issues causing system delays
• Communicating analysis results to other team members and management in charge of the systems and data stores
• Designing ETL system fixes and upgrades, including choosing and configuring hardware and software
• Overseeing the installation and configuring of system fixes and upgrades to customize them
• Collaborating with ETL developers on developing and implementing fixes and upgrades
• Performing tests to ensure that the systems work as expected, including manipulating input/output files for pre-/post-ETL processing
• Collaborating with third parties by communicating issues that cannot be resolved by the team and transmitting files for external processing

In addition to a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, this position requires at least five years of IT experience, including:

• Strong UNIX skills, including directory/file manipulation, file compressing/decompressing, server-to-server copying, and SFTP file transmission
• Solid SQL experience in DB2 and Oracle
• DataStage and Informatica experience (preferred)
• Tivoli Workloader Scheduler/Control-M experience (highly desired)
