ETL Informatica Developer

OB FUNCTION

* Work with Business, Architects and data Modeler to fully understand the business requirements and Translat Business requirement into System Requirements for Data warehouse and Reporting project
Work with technical team to generate Automation opportunities in areas like Data Migration from Legacy system to Big data plaform.
Design complex solutions based on business requirment and develop mappings, Sessions, workflows for sloution implementation
Coordinate data models, data dictionaries, and other database documentation across multiple applications
design reviews of data deliverables such as models, data flows, and data quality assessments
Develop processes and templates to migrate and sync legacy Mainframe data to data lake , in discussion with data modeler and develop solution templates to increased the speed of data mappings while crationg resuable copmponents.
Develop JIRA Stories and docs by Translating Business Requirements to System Requirements for Agile global delivery model.
Partner with QA teams to communicate the business rules, data models and ensure test cases target the quality and integrity of data model
Partner with DBAs to transform logical data models into physical database designs while optimizing the performance and maintainability of the physical database
Perform data analysis, discovery, profiling and identify cause of data issues and work with broader team to resolve
Develop solid understanding of the various source data sets and assist in laying out the overall data design solutions
Promotes data modeling standardization, defines and drives adoption of the standards
Work with Data Management to establish governance processes around metadata to ensure an integrated definition of data for enterprise information, and to ensure the accuracy, validity, and reusability of metadata
Develop ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes according to company and industry Best Practices
Coordinate data and reporting requirements with off-shore developers and review work products for accuracy and completeness in meeting those requirements
Architect and Automate Store procedures using Control-M file watcher and ETL solutions
Strong knowledge with BI tools, standards and practices
Strong knowledge of core ETL processing, reporting and dashboards

SKILLS
Strong experience in Informatica Power Center & Power Exchange. Skilled in a various informatica ETL solution

Experience with SQL Developer and MySQL
Experience on platforms like Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Spark), Microsoft Azure,IBM Mainframe and langualges like COBOL, JCL , DB2, BMC Remedy 9, EDI
Experience on Agile tools like JIRA is must.
Skills to Architect, design and implement enterprise-class ETL solution using relational adatabse . A strong knowledge of standard ETL solutions and best practices
The skills to work with many diverse data domains including Supply Chain , Financial cost data, Customer Master Data, Equipment data, Manufacturing data, Sales data etc.
Skills to develop well designed ETL processes using Informatica Power Center
Experience working closely with data architects, subject matter and technical experts, and system data models in order to accurately represent as-is and to-be processes
Hands on experience with data management platforms (Db2 Blu, DB2, Sql server etc)
SQL Performance Tuning
Experience communicating requirements to off-shore ETL developers and Report developers
The skills to perform data modeling activities. Expertise with enterprise level data modeling tool such as ER/Studio. Expert knowledge of data architecture strategies and data governance strategies
Experience with logical data modeling (ERwin). Experience with enterprise integration patterns and best practices
8 years in IT experience in end-to-end Software Development in SDLC and Agile methodology
8 years of experience with Informatica design and development experience
experience with IBM Mainframes , COBOL , JCL , DB2 added plus
3+ years of experience with data modeling activities, using industry standard tools, preferable Erwin
