Job Purpose (Job Summary)
:

The ETF Operations specialist will work to ensure that daily processes and data requirements are met to ensure that the funds meet their investment objectives. The candidate will work closely with Sr ETF Operations Specialist as well as Portfolio Managers and ETF Portfolio Manager Analysts to ensure that funds and systems get all the data needed daily. The role is a support role and as such will coordinate with various internal and external vendors. (note andrea to potentially add line from JP Morgan


Key Responsibilities / Duties
:

  • Learn the daily basket process, including, setup, dissemination, and reconciliation. Oversee the valuation and dissemination of ETF Portfolio Composition Files.
  • Assists in the calculation of fund distributions.
  • Provides daily reporting to ETF Portfolio Managers Analysts.
  • Oversees cash management and utilization
  • Interpret corporate actions and applies information on a Trade date -1 basis.
  • Fund oversight utilizing, exception reporting.
  • Leverages internal reporting for issue resolution and interpretation.
  • Works closely with Portfolio Managers, Capital Markets, Compliance as well as our third-party Fund Accounting and custody agent
  • Maintains and develops relevant metric reporting for management.
  • Identifying opportunities both for finding operational efficiencies and reducing risk.
  • Implement efficiencies and automation where feasible, using macros; or adjust existing macros for changing needs.
  • Supporting new business initiatives for the department.
  • After market hours work will be required; flexibility in schedule appreciated.

Qualifications


Work Experience / Knowledge
:

  • One to four years of Financial Services experience at a Third Party Administrator or Asset Manager firm preferred.

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:

  • Ability to rapidly learn the ETF industry.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and client service skills.
  • Must be able to multi task different initiatives at once, take direction well, and strong follow through skills needed.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Advanced Skills in Excel required; Proficiency in VBS/macros preferred.
  • General knowledge of financial markets.
  • Adaptability to a fast paced, consistently changing environment.
  • Strong problem solving and trouble shooting ability.
  • Ability to react to high pressure situations in a professional manner.
  • Basic securities knowledge helpful.
  • Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with strong initiative.
  • Results/detail oriented.

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting is required or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would provide the knowledge, skills and ability required.
