ERP Business Analyst Consultant

Summary

We have an immediate need for a Business Analyst consultant to help a client execute an ERP migration. The duration of the engagement is expected to last 12 months and may also potentially end with an offer to come on board full time.

The client is a global organization with domestic and international headquarters on different instances of their current ERP platform. They are headquartered in Los Angeles and telecommuting may be an option for portions of the engagement. Some minimal international travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Gathering and creating business requirements documents, translating them to technical specifications, diagramming and process flows leveraging tools such as Visio and JIRA
• Ability to tease out root causes for specific user requests and to build relationships with the various stakeholders including finance and IT executives
• Working with the technical solution delivery team and finance users to ensure that solution design is meeting stakeholder requirements
• Supporting the integration of operating, distribution, and fulfillment systems that need to be mapped to the ERP platform

Requirements:

• Strong detailed Business Analysis experience; NOT looking for a project manager or project lead
• 5 yrs+ experience as a Business Analyst predominantly supporting system related implementations or enhancements
• 2 yrs+ supporting accounting/finance users with ERP solutions (preferably migration activities)
• Strong experience in writing business requirements and functional specifications
• Strong experience in customer facing roles communicating with executive level stakeholders; excellent communication skills
• Bachelor’s in a Computer Science or Finance related discipline
• Relevant certifications are preferred, but not required
• Additional accounting/GAAP experience or education is preferred, but not required
• Professional demeanor, creative, and team-oriented skill set
