Entry Level Developer

The Junior Software Developer will assist with designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using Java.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with a product’s development to ensure deadlines and standards are met
• Work closely with other teams within the organization
• Use high level troubleshooting and debugging skills to eliminate problems in current application codes
• Provide assistance with testing and problem resolution as may be required
• Construct code based on software designs
• Participate in reviewing deliverables from other development teams, including designs, test plans, and documentation
• Create technical design documents and configuration documents as required for the successful implementation of the products
• Create and maintain coding standards and guidelines
• Help identify and resolve gaps between requirements and technical design
• Provide assistance with testing and problem resolution as may be required
• Provide internal support for products

• Ability to work in a flexible and production orientated environment
• Effective decision making and problem solving skills
• Proficient to advanced PC Skills including (but not limited to) MS Word, MS Excel, email, internet and customized database management
• Must be able to read and/or interpret numbers and letters correctly
• Knowledge relating to the area in which analysis and coding is performed.
