Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Support Director

The EPM Support Director is responsible for service delivery management of all Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions for the Finance and Business Operations Business Technology (BT) organization. The platform hosts Pfizer’s financial consolidation, reporting and planning applications, as well as segregated solutions in support of past and future divestitures. The main technologies used are HFM, FDM, Essbase, Planning and DRM as well as ODI for integration. Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as 24/7 escalation point for both BT and the business for technical and data issues faced in Production. In Production there are approximately 2 HFM, 2 JE, 1 FDM, 21 Essbase and 18 planning applications supported.
  • Support month-end close activities, quarterly latest estimate (LE), quarterly exception-based budget (EB) and annual operating plan (OPN) cycles.
  • Manage the implementation of changes and improvements to the EPM architecture and application suite to meet new business requirements.
  • Liaise with Accenture’s Service Lead and Pfizer’s Line Architect to ensure EPM is aligned with Pfizer’s technical strategy
  • Liaise with Pfizer’s Line Architect to analyze and confirm opportunities for optimization
  • Manage transition to support of all new applications to the platform
  • Maintain SOPs
  • Support annual DR exercise
  • Help define and enforce Development and Infrastructure best practices
  • Perform configuration management for approximately 100 servers
  • Maintain controls as per SOX requirements for all SOX applications
  • Serve as application lead on all audits
  • Monitor platform to ensure it supports upcoming demand and performance objectives
  • Manage releases as applicable, including scheduling CAB meetings, managing release scope, etc.
  • Manage Support for other Finance, Tax and Compliance applications like FOD, BWISE, Tax DW, CADENCY, SAP BPC, RSA Archer, etc
  • Manage a team of approximately 50 consultants and 2 colleagues in providing Production Support for EPM platform and other applications in scope, including all 5 environments (development, test, staging, production and disaster recovery)

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar field
  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience working on large-scale IT projects, experience relevant to Hyperion/EPM a plus but not required.
  • Strong background in Oracle and Unix and Windows required.
  • Demonstrates and communicates broad knowledge of major technologies needed to design and implement infrastructure products/projects.
  • Experience in capacity management and software strategy
  • Demonstrated experience managing global projects from conception through successful implementation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-paced, high-pressure, and challenging environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to manage globally distributed teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Proven history of generating high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prior Audit and/or SOX experience.
  • Travel commitment: up to 10%
  • Candidate is required in the NYC office 3/4 days a week and all week during the Financial close.
