Engineering Intern

Biomedical Innovations, a Nissha company, is currently seeking two Engineering Interns for our operations in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Engineering Interns will be exposed to the medical device manufacturing industry and regulatory side of the business. They will have the opportunity to learn how to deal with manufacturing/assembly challenges, manufacturing processes, and/or automated equipment design. Interns will participate with many engineering functions related to a medical contract manufacture environment. They will apply mathematics and lab techniques to produce reliable test methods for validation and in-process inspections. They will also apply their CAD abilities and update ISO and FDA required documentation per our internal designs and customer designs. They will also take part in validations and the process of validation that is required by the FDA.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

Create Technical Documents

•

Update CAD Drawings

•

Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

•

Create Validation Documentation (IQ, OQ, PQ)

•

Preform Validation on Machines and Processes

•

Create Test Methods and Gage R&Rs

•

Update Work Instructions

•

Assist Automation Engineers in design and testing

•

Assist Process Improvement Engineers in design and testing

•

Continuous Improvement projects

•

Agile Scrum Process

•

Help where resources are needed the most

The internship will begin in June and last approximately 10 – 12 weeks

Minimum Qualifications:
•

Must have completed at least freshman year at college/university

•

Minimum 3.0 GPA

•

Enrollment in engineering courses strongly preferred

•

Good organizational and communication skills

•

Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
