Engineer Intern

T.Y. Lin International’s Tempe, Arizona office is looking to add temporary Engineering Interns to assist engineers, designers and administrative staff in concept and design development of custom bus shelters for the City of Phoenix.

Responsibilities:

• Develop conceptual design and final design details for custom bus stop shelters
• Work closely with engineers and designers to revise and refine developed concepts
• Assist with computer modeling
• Attend meetings with City staff at TYLIN office and/or City offices
• Potentially assist with construction questions during fabrication and installation of custom bus shelters

Qualifications:
Requires a minimum of 2 years college education as well as being active enrollee in either College of Engineering or School of Design (working on BSCE) classes. Experience with design software for steel/aluminum fabricated structural analysis required and AutoCAD experience is desirable. Basic understanding of constructability and fabrication for similar type of structures is a plus.
