DUTIES

  • Coordinate educational programming including Speakers’ Bureau engagements, Oregon Holocaust Memorial tours, OJMCHE exhibition tours, workshops, trunk presentations, and classroom visits
  • Maintain communication between Holocaust Speakers’ Bureau, Oregon Holocaust Memorial docents, museum exhibit docents, museum staff, and teachers to arrange educational programs with 10,000+ participants annually
  • Establish and maintain rapport with docents, teachers, speakers, and the museum’s community
  • Familiar with the nature and scope of educational offerings
  • Makes decisions with education team and guest services staff regarding group programming as a member of the Visitor Experience Committee
  • Follows up after educational programming to collect feedback from groups
  • Arranges for payments by preparing check requests and invoices
  • Administrative Tasks
  • Compiles attendance data and prepares occasional reports
  • Maintain and administer portion of internal database
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Proficient user of Google calendar, Google forms, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
  • Continually assesses organizational systems and takes initiative to suggest and implement improvements
  • Team-oriented and enthusiastic

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Proficiency in FileMaker database application

Hours: 12-14 hours per week; minimum 2 days in office with option to work additional time remotely

Reports to: Manager of Museum and Holocaust Education

Start date: Early June

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $13.00 to $15.00 /hour
