As the EDI Analyst , you will coordinate with customers, insurance carriers, and trading partners to manage all aspects of the electronic data interchange (EDI) file exchange implementation process, beginning with the collection of requirements, identification of carrier/partner file specifications, and mapping of the data from an Oracle database using VBScript. You will identify and define insurance carrier- or trading partner-accepted EDI file specifications and formats. You will also map data imports and exports via VBScript code to specified flat file, CSV, and fixed-width formats, as well as 834 EDI transaction sets (ANSI X12 834). Additionally, you will:

Create new data maps and support a variety of existing data maps and EDI transaction sets

Manage multiple EDI implementations, taking full responsibility for maintaining timelines and communicating with clients, vendors, and partners

Conduct transactional and system analysis to troubleshoot and resolve EDI discrepancy reports

Work on file encryption and submission via FTP/SFTP client software

Cultivate and manage relationships with third-party administrators and insurance carriers regarding data

Provide the team and client with appropriate timelines to ensure that expectations and turnaround times are met

Contribute to the team goals by accomplishing related projects

Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations

Provide technical guidance and training to other team members as assigned

What You’ll Need to be Successful:
More than 1 year of experience in data mapping, testing and implementing EDI account setups to/from XML, flat files, CSV, fixed-width file mapping, and 834 EDI transaction sets (ANSI X12 834)

Ability to efficiently manipulate data within Excel or Access in preparation for system imports
