What You’ll Do

The EDI Analyst is responsible for the ongoing analysis, development and support of KIND EDI operations. This role acts as the liaison between KIND and our EDI trading partners. This position is aslo responsible for gathering data, ensures compliance cross functionally with our internal operational teams and 3rd party Logistics, Co-Packers and Co-manufacturing including domestic and international.

Main Responsibilities:
Technical Analysis and Subject Matter Expertise for EDI Transactions

Provides subject matter expertise for EDI transactions in KIND EDI operating systems to customer support teams, trading partners, development teams and EDI providers.

Analyzes business requirements for EDI and develops functional specifications for application developers.

On-board new trading partners.

Implement new EDI transactions that will improve automation.

Problem Resolution for EDI Transactions and related Systems

Monitor EDI production systems and operations and take appropriate actions to resolve issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve EDI transaction issues for internal and external customers.

Root cause analysis of problems in a multi-partner and multi-provider distributed environment.

Monitor EDI providers’ portals. Perform EDI transaction archives for EDI transactions.

EDI System Enhancement and Continuous Improvement

Enhances current monitoring system to track end-to-end processing of EDI messages.

Maintain EDI documentation such as work instructions, procedures.

Establish KPI’s and ensure all areas are adhering to.

Track performance, analyze trends thru these measures, identify gaps within the processes and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact the organization.

Evaluate areas of opportunity, identify process gaps, and create plans to achieve increased performance, productivity and effectiveness in services provided.

Required Experience:
Experience and Skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

3+ years of experience in EDI implementation and operation

Experience with EDI formats and specifications related to Supply Chain documents.

Knowledge with EDI transactions 850,860,940,945,943,944,947,846,856,870,888…

Knowledge with EDI Standards X12, EDIFact.

Thorough knowledge of ERP systems, JD Edwards or SAP are preferred.

Experience with 3rd party EDI providers is a plus.

Ability to analyze data, identify gaps and strong problem solving skills.

SQL skills are a plus

Strong communications skills – written and oral.

Understands business and system requirements and able to lead and influence stakeholders.

Excellent Customer Service skills.

Proven ability to work independently, cooperatively as a member of a team and to coordinate efforts and collaborate with a variety of individuals.

Excellent organizational skills to establish priorities, work in a team environment, and manage multiple activities and meet deadlines.
