EDI Analyst

The EDI Analyst is responsible for the initiation of the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) data transfer for Allen Company. The EDI Analyst supports existing EDI transactions (identifying and resolving transactional issues). Additionally, the role will require analyzing and creating specifications for new and existing EDI partners, coordinating tests and working with our solution set/application tools.

Support the business with EDI issues and promptly triage and resolve EDI issues

Onboarding of trading partners, developing maps, testing & deploying maps

Maintain technical infrastructure, including setup of trading partner connections, maintenance of software and monitoring

Support EDI transactions, including diagnosis & resolution of partner issues and technical issues

Work cross-departmentally to ascertain which vendors are able to trade EDI documents

Set up new vendor EDI integrations utilizing Sterling Gentran

Responsible for the daily EDI process, using 850, 997, 810, 856, 816, 852, 855, 860 transactions and working knowledge with 812, 820 and 824 transactions

Connection to and support VAN

Setup of all new customer EDI integrations

Perform custom mapping based on customer’s 850, 860, 856, 810 and 855 specs

AS2 partnership setup, connection and testing

Monitor failed document transactions, perform corrective actions

Configuration/monitoring/processing

Perform EDI mapping

Document integrations and associated details

Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent work experience

Strong knowledge of Sterling Gentran Translator mapping tool

Familiarity with Sterling Gentran

Familiarity with Cleo Lexicom

Knowledge of various connectivity solutions (VAN, AS2, FTP)

Minimum of 2+ years EDI experience

2+ years of experience analyzing business requirements and translating them to technical requirements

Strong work ethics and passion for technology

Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently

Strong SQL knowledge

Knowledge of SOA frameworks, Integration technologies

Demonstrated ability to communicate well with other members of the IT department and with non-technical end users

Experience working in distribution or a related industry preferred
