E-Commerce Front-End Web Developer

Position Responsibilities

Develop key creative experiences on the desktop and mobile e-commerce sites in accordance with the site refresh cadence.

Collaborate on development and implementation of new interactive marketing experiences.

Partner with Web Production team to scope and test interactive experience requests from the creative & marketing teams.

Work with IT/XD/Web Production teams for requirements gathering, optimization, ongoing maintenance and change management of all front-end elements across global e-commerce websites.

Participate in QA process across cross-functional teams for each site refresh launch.

Partner with Web Production team on process definition and optimization for all online content management.

Assume expert role as front-end development resource to all teams.

Skills & Expertise

3+ years working with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and Node.js to create rich interactive content.

Experience with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.

Good understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.

Developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions.

Experience with responsive front-end frameworks – ReactJs, Foundation, Bootstrap.

Good understanding of Web Accessibility and ability to apply guidelines required by the business to help site to at least reach an AA standard.

Good understanding of SEO friendly web content.

Experience working with version control systems (e.g. Git) to make updates to the codebase.

Plus

Experience in luxury retail or similar agency.

Experience working in a CMS Tools – Oracle ATG, highly desired.

Experience with Analytics tools (e.g. Omniture)

Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. PHP, Ruby)

Building mobile-optimized, responsive pages

Experience developing AJAX interfaces with AJAX libraries and frameworks (e.g. YUI, DOJO, JQuery, Prototype)

Backend systems knowledge or experience, a plus.

Experience with video streaming plugins, a plus.
