District Sales Manager – Arkansas/Louisiana/Mississippi

Wacker Neuson, a leading global manufacturer of high quality construction equipment and compact construction machines, is seeking an experienced and motivated District Sales Manager for our Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas territory. We’re looking for individuals with industry experience and strong business acumen. This position requires 80% travel.

The District Sales Manager’s primary role is to orchestrate, align and leverage the field and corporate resources to maximize impact and return on investment.

Key Job Duties:

  • Conduct sales activities to maximize revenue on all Wacker Neuson products to contracted dealers, independent rental distributors, strategic retail and strategic national accounts.
  • Prepares annual business plans with Contracted Dealers and implements annual growth strategies for strategic accounts, independent rent-to-rent and strategic retail accounts.
  • Works with Regional Manager in formulating market plans, budgets and forecasts.
  • Assists in creating and conducting effective training programs
  • Develops and maintains close relationships with the executive level, regional buyers, dealer principals, sales management and sales personnel with the distribution channels in assigned territory.

Trade Associations:

  • Assures increase market penetration within the Rental industry through direct contact and involvement in local industry trade associations, regional trade show events and participation with rental rallies.
  • Actively participates within local trade association, in partnership with your Market Development Specialist to increase awareness of Wacker Neuson brand. Example, AGC – Associated General Contractors of America.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience working in the construction equipment industry.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
  • A high understanding of competitive equipment and competitor’s market tactics is required.
  • An understanding of business concept and marketplace functions of Distribution Dealers, Rental Dealers and End Users in the construction industry.
  • Excellent verbal, written and public speaking skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and a CRM.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or other related business program
  • Supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of Wacker Neuson equipment, its applications and markets
  • Cloud 4 Customer (C4C) CRM experience
