What will I be doing?


As a Director, Operational Reporting & Analysis you would be responsible for
executing your position’s responsibilities in alignment with our Spirit of Service culture and driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Position Statement:

The Director, Operational Reporting & Analysis provides strategic and operational oversight of a suite of operational reporting and manages analytics tools used across the all lines of business for Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV).

The Director, Operational Reporting & Analysis:

  • Develops strategies and direction for the development and application of reporting systems to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization.
  • Develops and maintains the corporate suite of operational reports utilizing multiple source and reporting systems including, but not limited to, IBM Cognos, the general ledger system (PeopleSoft), financial reporting systems (Hyperion) and other custom systems.
  • Provides leadership in the oversight and administration of reporting and analysis tools to ensure these systems support the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Oversees data governance of operational chart mapping including, but not limited to, the establishment of new metrics, the development of organizational charts and the mapping of reporting structures for various systems.
  • Ensures effective interface between reporting systems, establishes quality assurance processes to ensure continued efficacy with changes and/or enhancements in these systems and establishes appropriate application controls to maintain data integrity.
  • Monitors key performance metrics and oversees and evaluates system technical requirements.
  • Partners with internal and external stakeholders, including, but not limited to, system end-users and IT, to develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures and to improve and refine processes to maximize operating efficiency.
  • Leads and directs his/her department and individual team members in daily and strategic tasks to accomplish the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Recruits, selects, hires, trains and develops top talent.
  • Conducts effective management and oversight of third party partners including, but not limited to, negotiating and monitoring quality and cost of services.
  • Presents oral and written presentations to key stakeholders and the organization regarding key metrics, results and current and trending business conditions to further the achievement of strategic goals.
  • Acts as liaison between the business and report writers to ensure proper deliverables are achieved in an efficient and effective manner and partners with Business Management to anticipate the needs of a dynamic business.
  • Will support sales, marketing, financing, resort operations and club management segments with their operational reporting needs.
  • Conducts training and engagement from field based reporting and analysis resources to maximize the systems available, enhance business experience and leverage these resources as needed for enterprise-wide benefit.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, takes part in project based initiatives and conducts ad hoc analysis.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or related degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in positions of increased responsibility in reporting systems management
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in positions of increased responsibility in financial or business analytics
  • Minimum of 4 years of management experience with direct reports
  • Management or Supervisory experience in Financial or Business Analytics Systems
  • Cognos/BI systems experience required
  • Experience in the business process; demonstrated knowledge of how financial and reporting systems (Enterprise Resource Planning/ERPs and Enterprise Performance Management/EPMs) work
  • Ability to communicate business requirements
  • Established leadership ability to be able to lead, direct and influence team members to achieve strategic objectives
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written form
  • Ability to travel 25% to engage with the business users

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • Previous experience in Director Role
  • Timeshare industry experience
  • Experience in Hyperion Planning, PeopleSoft G/L, SalesForce
