Job Description:
The Director of Strategic Partnerships will build an employer network of highly engaged companies that commit to providing employment opportunities to our students. Our students currently work with some of the premier companies in the world, from startup to enterprise level, including Deloitte, IBM, layer.com, CardCash and others. The Director of Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for prospecting and recruiting companies, with long-term technology hiring needs, into our network, and then managing, growing, and retaining these pipeline partnership companies through strong relationship-building and ongoing client engagement strategies. You will coordinate for these employers opportunities to interact with our students including but not limited to online events, employer networking events, mentoring activities, and project exposure.

  • You are excited to engage with students on-site and provide strategic events and opportunities to engage with the network you build.
  • You are highly organized and able to deliver impactful events involving students and employers.
  • You have been in the tech space previously, and can “speak” engineering both to tech recruiters and hiring managers.

As a Director of Strategic Partnerships, you will achieve the following results:

Ensure that all of our students who desire a new career in technology are successfully placed with a qualifying job

  • Develop and cultivate new employer relationships through tactical outbound sourcing.
  • Close on relationships with a variety of companies, gaining access to their database of open roles and a commitment to hire our students.
  • Systematically build and nurture a database of open roles from your employer network for our students; collaborate with the Career Director Team to match students to open roles.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Managers of Talent Solutions to ensure close coordination in communication with companies so that companies have one-point of high quality contact with Trilogy.
  • Explore and test new ways of packaging our offerings to better serve industry needs.
  • Take a consultative approach to investigating company’s needs and uncovering new opportunities.
  • Coordinate opportunities to interact with our students including but not limited to online events, employer networking events, mentoring activities, and project exposure.
  • Participate in a weekly meeting with other Directors of Strategic Partnerships to share lessons learned, best practices, and build tools and resources.
  • Engage tech executives at the nation’s leading companies who are seeking engineering talent.
  • Develop targeted lists and messaging to drive relationships; measure which messages are working and use data to “tweak” and make your messages better.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of activity in Salesforce.
  • Communicate and coordinate with students in your region and in conjunction with our Career Director Team.
  • Be accountable for the number of open roles you generate for our student population.
  • Be accountable for conversion rates on student placements relative to open jobs.
  • Contribute to placing 25% of career-seeking students prior to graduation.

In collaboration with the Regional Operations Team and your colleagues on the Career Services Team, ensure an NPS of 50 or higher.

  • Use student feedback data to improve the opportunities students have to interact and network with employers.
  • Collaborate closely with the Student Success Managers and Career Directors in each of your markets to ensure a high quality experience for our students.

What makes you a great fit for this role (Requirements):

  • You have at least 5 years of experience in business development, recruiting, outbound sales or talent development
  • You’ve worked in a management capacity for account executives, talent acquisition managers or sales executives.
  • You’ve had plenty of hits and misses, and can clearly discuss the lessons learned from those misses
  • You’ve successfully worked with a wide variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Startup experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills: you will need to engage through text, therefore strong writing skills are essential.
  • You can operate independently in a remote environment
