The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce is seeking a highly-skilled, self-motivated and dynamic individual to maintain and cultivate the organization’s social media strategy and elevate the Chamber’s external communication efforts. The candidate must be proactive, productive and professional. Social media/news never sleeps and our members need to know what we are doing in the community regardless of the time of the day. The ideal candidate is hard-working and adaptable in all settings. The position requires the individual to work in and with a variety of personalities and environments. Those unwilling to go above and beyond the typical work day on a regular basis need not apply.

Duties will include…

  • Maintaining and evolving the Chamber’s existing social media strategy
  • Keeping our content calendars up-to-date everyday/week/month
  • Creating content on social platforms for Chamber-related accounts including Albuquerque Reads, Leadership Albuquerque and our CEO
  • Writing, creating and executing the Chamber’s weekly newsletter
  • Creating and disseminating Legislative newsletter templates during regular and special sessions
  • Updating and maintaining the Chamber’s website
  • Compiling weekly analytics from web and social platforms to determine the success of our strategy
  • Collaborating with all departments to ensure that our mission and brand are promoted to our members and the general public
  • Communicating and planning ribbon cuttings for our new and existing members
  • Planning and promoting our Small Business Seminars based on what topics our members have interest in
  • Creating digital invites for Small Business Roundtables that occur once a month
  • Ensuring that our partnerships and contracts are met each month in regards to our social media and website content

Must be familiar with…

  • Schedugr.am

Must have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or marketing with a focus in digital communications. Excellent writing skills, creative mindset, experience with email marketing tools and experience with social media analytic tools are a must.
