The talented and experienced Director for Human Resources will have a history of success. The individual will lead the Human Resources activities for talent acquisition, learning, development, and retention for Weis Builders and affiliated companies. You will ensure compliance activities are completed and followed for all programs and Associates understand and receive relevant and timely communications on programs, policies, and procedures.

You must have completed a human resources degrees program (or have equivalent experience) and have shown significant leadership in the human resources field through your 5+ years of experience.

Understands and Practices The Weis Way –Clients—(responsiveness, proactive communications, exceeding expectations), Associates (respect, responsiveness, support) and Vendors (responsiveness, proactive communications, mutually beneficial relationship)

Skills and Abilities:–Education:
BA/BS degree in Human Resources Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Human Resources designation preferred

–Knowledge and Experience:
Five + years experience in human resources with significant hands-on exposure to recruitment, compensation/benefits, employee relations, and performance management

In depth technical knowledge of human resources laws and regulations

Knowledgeable with Microsoft based software applications—Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.

–Skills and Abilities:
Communication Skills–effective in a variety of presentation settings, able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles, and practices attentive/active listening

Decision Making—able to make strong well documented decisions in a timely manner

Organizing—able to marshal resources (materials, support) to successful conclusion. Able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.

Problem Solving/Analysis—able to use a variety of tools, techniques, and approaches for providing analysis

Results Oriented—very bottom-line oriented and can be counted on to exceed goals successfully

Team Member—strong sense of accountability and initiative. Self-starter and motivator. Ability to handle and resolve confrontation with diplomacy.
