Director, Financial Operations – Strategic Accounts

POSITION PROFILE

Under the direction of the VP, Field Finance this role provides operational and financial support of the sales, leasing and services (Technology Services, Enterprise Services, Managed Services) functions. Assists leaders in the area of Ricoh policy compliance and manages and organizes the finance support staff. Supports an approximate +$250-300M annual revenue business consisting of specific Strategic Global and US accounts.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adheres to administrative, operational and financial policies, procedures and processes that support financial goals and performance expectations.
  • Functions as a financial business partner with leadership and the account teams. Establishes an open line of communication with all levels within the/function/accounts/other department and works closely with management to maintain consistent best practices.
  • Provides management with key analytical measurements on financial performance. Both within the US and outside for assigned accounts.
  • Ensures the protection of assets and their proper utilization by determining that all controls and accounting policies are followed throughout the company.
  • Manages administrative employees including staffing, performance management, and motivation, training and employee development either directly or in a matrix management structure.
  • Coordinates budgeting and forecasting with management team and customers.
  • Owns the overall financial management at an account level – is the highest level of escalation within an account as it relates to Ricoh’s financial management.
  • Generates and presents operating budgets to both customer and Ricoh leadership.
  • Manages account level P&L. Both within the US and OUS.
  • Participates in creation and delivery of quarterly and other customer business reviews.
  • Works on deal profitability and bid strategy.
  • Engages with multiple senior customer contacts from multiple functions both within the US and outside of the US.
  • Engages & supports the AR team on collection related issues.
  • Assists the leaders in the development and implementation of business strategies and assumes responsibility for performance results of specific action plans as directed by Corporate and assigned customers.
  • Assists in aspects of leasing function, which includes residual and lease end management, standard and non-standard contract documentation, equipment sales treatment and asset recovery. Performs big hit pipeline reviews and portfolio opportunity management along with the designated Finance Marketing Specialist.
  • Interacts directly with senior customer leaders, on and off site meetings. Sales support, financial support and customer resolution.
  • Works the sales exception list and to prioritize RO and whitespace opportunities.
  • Works with financial partners in other Ricoh Regions outside the US.
  • Serves as liaison between Account/function and other Group structures, HQ Finance, Supply Chain, IT, CCCs, Leasing partners and Corporate.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business.
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • 10+ years related financial experience, including 5+ years financial management experience preferably within the technology services industry or a related industry.
  • CPA a plus.
