Director, Business Enablement Job

As a Global Procurement Operations Director you will be responsible for the vision and management of a Procurement Functional Area to enable superior service delivery, a high performing team and the development of current and future Micron leaders. In this role you will be responsible for leading a large global team responsible for all the Procurement operations, which includes multiple functions within the Purchase order to Pay service. You will partner with multiple stakeholder groups and the Global Procurement Category teams to ensure the services are transformed and delivered to move the business forward.

You will establish and monitor department performance metrics and oversee functional area metrics to identify and implement continual improvement opportunities. You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver strategic solutions. You will maintain close interaction with suppliers and internal business partners to ensure needs are addressed while fostering a customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement.

Other responsibilities include ensuring department compliance to company policies and regulations, as well as departmental procedures. You will provide leadership for building and implementing department strategies, processes, and policy through active oversight of functional teams and projects, and mentor functional leaders through collaboration and the development of sustainably successful solutions. You will also be responsible for conveying corporate business initiatives, providing direction thereof, and driving a clear understanding of line of site.

Role Responsibilities & Tasks

Communicate and align strategy with Procurement VP and VP of Supply Chain

Manage specific projects and track implementation and results

Coordinate and communicate departmental policies and procedures

Be accountable for internal budgets and promote continuous cost reduction and quality improvement

Develop, communicate, and monitor department performance metrics

Provide Organizational Leadership to Build Functional Strategies and Processes

Set and maintain multi-year strategy roadmaps based on business needs and supplier landscape

Develop and monitor department performance to plan

Mentor current and future leaders

Collaborate with peers to construct global solutions to department and category issues

Ensure conflict resolution and assist with identifying escalation paths

Align internal strategies and communicate line of sight to corporate strategic objectives

Communicate the corporate business environment and initiatives and provide direction

Collaborate with Stakeholders to Deliver Strategic Solutions

Collaborate to create and drive customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement

Maintain close interaction with business partners to ensure category-related needs addressed

Identify and understand department service requirements

Guide functional services with peer group and internal global partners

Manage conflict and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Initiate and sustain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

Provide advice to senior and executive management on strategic decisions

Education Desired

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Related field of study

Master’s Degree

Business Administration/Management, Engineering

Customer service experience

Experience leading a Procurement back-office function Globally as well as a direct materials planning and scheduling organization

Experience with SAP and ARIBA, including the deployment of P2P and Catalog tools

10+ years experience in any of the following:

International Business

Materials Management

SAP/Ariba PO to Pay & E-Catalog Experience

SAP MRP
