Digital Media Coordinator

Position Summary

Responsible for supporting the digital communications team for all Georgia Aquarium, Inc. and Marineland Dolphin Adventure marketing and communications efforts including: development and implementation for Georgia Aquarium and Marineland Dolphin Adventure website
content; developing and maintaining social media content and assets for all Georgia Aquarium and Marineland Dolphin Adventure social media channels; supporting the production and distribution of reports and analysis for all Georgia Aquarium and Marineland
Dolphin Adventure digital media campaigns. Assist with the content production process within the communications team and utilizing other departments, external agencies and leadership in order to meet digital communications needs.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Digital Media Specialist to gather, execute and schedule engaging campaigns for a variety of e-communications channels, including: websites, internal and external newsletters, blogs, social media, and additional channels as necessary.

2. Assists with the development and implementation of social media content for all Georgia Aquarium and Marineland Dolphin Adventure channels, working with Digital Media Specialist to ensure content meets strategic needs.

3. Assists with website content accuracy and processes, including; routing website requests for development, securing approvals for updated content and publishing updates as necessary.

4. Route content and graphic assets through existing approval and implementation processes, paying special attention to deadlines and goals.

5. Assist with maintaining consistency in all Georgia Aquarium, Inc. and Marineland Dolphin Adventure communications and marketing.

6. Assists with e-mail communications content production; provides proofing, recommendation and edits as necessary.

7. Assists with digital communications data analysis for all other digital communications channels; including production and distribution of campaign reports.

8. Assist the Digital Media Specialist with day-to-day management of digital media intern projects, workload and professional development programming.

9. Assists in developing and maintaining mobile initiatives for Georgia Aquarium and Marineland Dolphin Adventure

10. Assist in developing new audiences through digital marketing and media opportunities including: social media advertising, planning and content creation

11. To perform other duties as workload necessitates.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations/media relations, communications or journalism.

2. 1-2 years experience in marketing, public relations/media relations, digital media, communications or journalism, or relevant experience

3. Minimum one year experience with social/digital media at a professional organization, or relevant experience

4. Basic knowledge of digital media trends and platforms, including email marketing, social media and mobile.

5. Basic knowledge of HTML and/or website design is required.

6. Experience with Content Management Systems such as Site FInity, Adobe, WordPress, etc is required.

7. Experience with social media listening and scheduling platforms such as Radian6, SpredFast and Intellibuzz, etc a plus.

8. Experience with web analytics platforms such as Omniture, Google Analytics, etc a plus

9. Experience with email service platforms such as Silverpop, Strong Mail, Mail Chimp, etc a plus.

10. Above average ability to organize, manage time and set priorities while meeting deadlines.

11. Ability to be flexible and shift priorities to meet departmental requirements.

12. Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.

13. Superior verbal and written communication skills, including creative writing skills.

14. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

15. Strong interpersonal and management skills with the ability to interact positively at all levels within the organization, community and with business and political leaders who influence the Aquarium’s success.
