Development Associate

NewYork-Presbyterian seeks a Development Associate based at the NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell site. This position will work closely with a Principal Gifts Officer to assist in the Hospital’s efforts to secure funding for capital projects, state-of-the-art technology, and many other initiatives. This role will be integral to promoting ongoing engagement with the major donors and prospective donors via the crafting and production of solicitation and stewardship materials, tracking donor activity, scheduling meetings with internal and external stakeholders and more. In order to be successful, this individual will need to work collaboratively with other staff in the Office of Development and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Criteria

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; fundraising database experience, such as Raiser’s Edge, a plu s; working knowledge of Apple products
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail
  • Interest in building a non-profit development career and gaining exposure to major gift fundraising

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
