Desktop Support Engineer

TITLE : Desktop Support Engineer

Overview of Job Function:
This position reports to the Global IT Director and provides efficient day-to-day operational support to the global employee population for all desktops/laptops, applications and networks. Includes monitoring and managing Microsoft Outlook distribution lists, Windows 10 support, building/imaging new laptops, and network monitoring/debugging.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:
Office 365 setup and administration

Network Administration and Troubleshooting

Laptop and Server Setups

Ensures internal customer satisfaction at all times, identifies and implements improvements to enhance customer satisfaction on a continual basis.

Develops and performs hands-on advanced (2nd and 3rd level) troubleshooting and repair procedures for hardware, software, and peripherals as needed.

Performs software installations on all desktops/laptops

Performs software distribution and patch management/distribution tasks as required.

Documents all support work on a timely basis

Creates PC Support related documentation as required.

Participates in the process for purchasing, evaluating, and tracking of PC hardware, software, applications and other Devices and peripherals.

Produces and presents weekly status reports to I.T. Management.

Leads PC Support related projects as required.

Assists in developing and tracking all PC Support related project budgets as required.

Participates in the adherence to these budgets and takes corrective action as necessary.

Ensures the confidentiality of sensitive information.

Fosters the culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of vision and fulfillment of client’s mission.

Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:
Cloud based application experience – Netsuite, Ringcentral , AWS

Experience with Microsoft Suite of applications – Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel

Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or some related field

Experience in Dell Sonicwall
