Designer

GLAMOUR editorial is looking for a talented, efficient and resourceful Designer to join its busy art desk for the AW18 edition of the bi-annual.

Supporting the art desk and reporting to the Art/Creative Director, s/he will come up with visual ideas for single pages and longer features and develop them from planning meetings to the printed page.

The successful applicant will be bursting with ideas and very strong design skills. Highly motivated, enthusiastic and proactive, s/he will also have an in-depth knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. There will be the chance to commission illustrations and gain photo-shoot experience, and s/he will be expected to carry out a certain amount of picture research, providing support to the picture desk.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible for the layout of AW18 Glamour Beauty Bible

Attend weekly art meetings and generate visual ideas for features content

Design printed collateral and update templates

Generate design solutions for the AW18 Glamour Beauty Bible

Picture research

Essential Skills & Requirements

Ability to work calmly and meet deadlines

A complete understanding of InDesign, Photoshop and familiarity with the rest of Adobe Creative Suite

An eye for beauty and fashion photography

A creative approach to realising visual concepts

The ability to work well as part of a team

Engaged in the design of our social media outputs
