Design Assistant

Responsibilities include:

• Must be creative and enjoy contributing ideas and creating original designs as well as interpreting artwork and specific design direction
• Strong knowledge of color separation, color reduction, textures and watercolor techniques on computer, repeats, etc.
• Ability to prepare mill ready artwork, files for engraving and files with color pitch sheets
• Experience creating spec sheets and tech packs for designs to be given to mills instructing them on size, fabrication, etc.
• Knowledge of woven and printed fabrics. Towel knowledge is not necessarily a must and can be learned
• Ability to correspond with mills and oversee developments from start to finish.
• Assist in the cataloguing of new artwork through PLM
• Work with our China office to utilize company designers in getting artwork and layouts completed
• Work with design team in creating presentation boards and handouts for meetings and PDF’s and planograms for buyers, merchandisers and sales people.

Salary: $50,000.00 to $55,000.00 /year
